Lost in Time John Walter

John Walter is a composer and jazz pianist living in Devon UK. In the eighties he was working regularly on the Bristol Jazz scene alongside the likes of Gerry Underwood and Andy Sheppard . Since then John has focussed more on teaching and in 2000 set up DrumCrazy, a company running drumcircles in schools and the corporate sector. The CD "Lost in time" is a totally solo recording of his own compositions collected over a period of 25 years. The newer tunes tend to have echoes of world music styles, but all are grounded in the Jazz tradition. The whole CD was recorded over two days in Studios in Cornwall. All are straight takes with no overdubbing or cutting. The majority were recorded on a beautiful Fazioli piano that used to grace Ronnie Scotts Jazz Club.
