Huey "Piano" Smith is the embodiment of New Orleans R&B at it's most rockin'. with a piano style that bridged the gap between the boogie of Albert Ammons, the jazz style of Jelly Roll Morton and the unique R&B pounding of Professor Longhair, Huey "Piano Smith and his band the Clowns paved the way for rock n' roll. Led by blues singer Bobby Marchan, Huey and the Clowns stormed the charts in 1957 with the smash hit "Rockin' Pneumonia & the Boogie Woogie Flu." Featured here is that classic single backed with their biggest hit from 1958, "Don't You Just Know It." All selections newly re-mastered.
