Beginning his musical career in the swing era with Harry James and Tommy Dorsey, Sinatra became the most successful male solo artist of the 1940's, becoming the idol of the "bobby soxers." Presented here are some of Sinatra's earliest recordings featuring classic tunes from America's greatest songwriters including Ira Gershwin, Jerome Kern, Lerner & Lowe, Jule Styne and Sammy Cahn, Mitchell Parish and others. All selections newly re-mastered.
