2008 release, the first time on CD featuring nine bonus tracks. Half a century after Louisiana Swamp Pop singer Phil Phillips wrote that haunting, pleading song to woo a girlfriend, 'Sea of Love' still lingers in the collective consciousness of millions. Though the original version was anthologized hundreds of times, in the 49 years between Phil's number one hit and today, there has never been a legitimate Phil Phillips album!, Five decades later, fans of that amazing quavering, dreamlike tenor voice will finally hear all of the lost treasures of Phil's early career, including such well-known-but-un-reissued masterpieces as 'Verdie Mae', 'Juella' and Phil's wondrous version of 'Stormy Weather'. in addition, the 25-track CD of all of his original Khoury/Mercury recordings features nine previously unreleased cuts, including Phil's darkly powerful interpretation of 'Unchained Melody'.
