He's a five-time Grammy winner, activist, humanitarian, singer, songwriter, producer, an Emmy winner, but most important is that he’s Ziggy Marley: the son of the godfather of Reggae music, Bob Marley. ‘Fly Rasta’ is his fifth solo studio album, produced by Ziggy himself with additional production by Dave Cooley. The album features U-Roy and former Melody Makers and relatives Cedella Marley, Sharon Marley and Erica Newall. ‘Fly Rasta’ is based on the simple concept: ‘make a Reggae record that was true to Marley, but as importantly, the sound should push outside the typical confines of what Reggae music is known for’, it’s a call for all humans to come together and threat mother earth with care and respect.
