Misia developed a new style and unlike the traditional way from *Amália Rodrigues* and others she added 'new' instruments to Fado such as bass guitar, accordion, violin and piano. With her 1995 album *'Tanto Menos Tanto Mais'* she received the Grand Prix from the Charles Cros Academy in France, previously only achieved before by *Amália Rodrigues.*
