The Tango has always retained its image of a dance unashamedly sensual in character. The movements of the original dance were meant to mimic knifefights, seductions, and violent lovers' quarrels. The music retains more than a hint of its origins, especially as played here by acknowledged masters like **Astor Piazzolla, Carlos Gardel** and **Mercedes Simone** would have given a far more accurate picture of this adult, sensual, and frequently unsettling music.
