Try Anything Once is Alan Parsons' first solo album following the split of The Alan Parsons Project. It features guest vocals from David Pack of Ambrosia, Duran Duran backing singer Jacqui Copland, former Mindbender and 10cc guitarist Eric Stewart, and Chris Thompson of Manfred Mann's Earth Band.

The album takes a different turn from the previously ethereal Project albums, and seems to continue the directional development that started with Stereotomy and Gaudi, combining rock elements ("Back Against The Wall" & "Breakaway") and mood-oriented beats ("Turn It Up" & "I'm Talking To You"), while still retaining certain elements of the classic Project albums that are unique ("Mr Time", "Wine From The Water", the instrumentals).

The distinctive cover was designed by Storm Thorgerson, known for his work with design studio Hipgnosis. Hipgnosis were responsible for some of the most iconic record covers, including Pyramid by The Alan Parsons Project and of course Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon.

Try Anything Once is available on black vinyl and includes a 4-page booklet.
