Introducing Ed Sheeran - the flame-haired guitar genius set to soundtrack our summer with his debut single,‘The A Team’. Set for release on June 12th via Asylum Records, Ed is already enjoying massive support from the likes of Radio 1Xtra and XFM, where ‘The A Team’ is on the daytime play list. Added to Radio 1’s playlist 6 weeks out from release, Zane Lowe bestowed his highest accolade ‘Hottest Record In The World’ and both he and Fearne Cotton made the track ‘Record of the Week’. There are also remixes by True Tiger (Tinie Tempah, Professor Green, Plan B); Bristol based collective Koan Sound and Shy FX. Ed wrote the song about a girl he met called Angel, whilst volunteering at a Crisis homeless shelter. The video shot on location in Angel, N1 by young photographer Ruskin Kyle tells a moving story. Currently on rotation at MTV, NME, QTV and pop channel Starz, the video also has a major online draw, pulling 25,000 views a day and 1.4 million in total on Ed’s channel:
